When my beloved Cinnamon Kitty, who already had kidney disease, was about 19, she started throwing up after every meal, and losing weight. I tried diet changes, and took her to allopathic and holistic vets, but they had nothing to offer.
I had bought some Body Guard for my German Shepherd, having heard that it was a good flea deterrent. One day, something inspired me to sprinkle some on Cinnamon's dry food. For the first time in months, she didn't vomit. So we used up the 34 oz can that way, and she didn't vomit any more at all until we ran out.
Then, when I gave her food without it, she resumed vomiting; and stopped as soon as I began adding it, again. I never knew what about it was helping, only that it was; and she lived almost 3 more years, a good long life for a kitty.
Now, having had that experience, my two big dogs and both my kitties, all rescue pets, have it with every meal.

"Just wanted you to know I LOVE Body Guard! I actually have been using it since Sandee, my Golden Retriever, was a puppy (she is now 9). A dog trainer recommended it to me, saying it would keep her from getting fleas. Well, she was right! She has never had a flea in her life.
